Mode
Daily Spin
One flight a day for the length of the run (7 days unless the season says otherwise). Spin, book, fly, prove it, repeat.
Mode
Non-Stop
Chain flights against a 48 or 72 hour clock. After each landing you get flights leaving 2.5 to 8 hours later. Waiting uses up your clock.
How it works
- Choose a budget and a starting airport. Anywhere in the world. Declare a get-home reserve first: money set aside to get you home, never part of the game.
- Spin for a flight. The spin picks at random from every flight that fits your remaining budget and filters. Or pick one yourself. You book it with the airline; we never sell tickets.
- Fly and prove it. Scan your boarding pass, upload the booking confirmation and take a photo when you land. Verified flights add their distance to your score.
Rules in short
How scoring works
- Distance flown. Your score is the straight-line (great-circle) distance between each departure and arrival airport, added up. We calculate it from airport coordinates; distances typed in or printed on bookings are never used.
- Only verified flights count. A flight shows as Pending until its proof is checked. Verified flights count towards your score.
- Leaderboards. Each season has separate leaderboards for each mode and budget tier. Filter by everyone, your country, your start airport or your friends.
Your budget
- Four tiers. Backpacker $50, Drifter $100, Explorer $250, Globetrotter $500. Budgets are set in US dollars and shown in your currency at the exchange rate locked when your run starts.
- What counts. Everything on your booking confirmation: the fare, taxes, bags, seat selection and booking fees.
- What doesn't count. Accommodation, food and drink, and trains, buses or taxis. Spend what you like on those.
Get-home reserve
- Always keep a way home. Before your run starts you declare a get-home reserve: money set aside to get you home from wherever you end up. It is not part of your game budget and is never deducted. Make sure it covers a flight home from far away.
What counts as proof
- Boarding pass scan. Scan the barcode on your boarding pass in the app. It is read on your phone and the image is thrown away straight after.
- Booking confirmation. Upload a screenshot, photo or PDF of your booking confirmation. We read the total for you; you can edit it, but edited totals are checked by a person.
- Destination photo. Take a photo in the app when you arrive. It must be taken at your destination.
- Delays. If a delayed flight makes you miss your next booking, you can claim that booking back with proof of the delay. A person reviews every claim.
Privacy
- Never post your boarding pass. The barcode holds your booking reference, which someone could use to change or cancel your trip. Never share a photo of it.
- Your booking reference stays on your phone. We never store or send your booking reference. Your phone turns it into a one-way code, used only to stop the same boarding pass being used twice. Booking references are blacked out of uploaded confirmations before they are stored.
- What is public. Your public run page shows your route, distances, fares and destination photos. Never your boarding pass, booking or booking reference.
Counts against your budget: fare, taxes and airport charges, bags, seat selection, booking fees. Never counts: accommodation, food and drink, trains, buses and taxis, your get-home reserve.
